2.3 An initially urban demand that is evolving
The importance of urban demand
Electric scooters are subject to regulations that encourage their growth in cities. They are prohibited outside built-up areas, except on greenways and cycle paths. In built-up areas, electric scooters must use cycle paths and lanes (***). If these lanes do not exist, they can be used on roads with a ** km/h speed limit.
