Vivendi is a French group present in over 100 countries and active in the content, media and communications markets. In music, Vivendi owns Universal Music Group, one of the three largest record companies and the world leader in recorded music (38.9% market share). The group accounts for more than a third of all records sold worldwide, and owns the world's largest catalog of music rights. Diversifying into concert halls, the Group acquired the Olympia in 2001 and the Sentier des Halles in 2002
