Founded by Marc Simoncini, Chairman of the company, and Angélique Lenain, Managing Director, Sensee offers low-cost, entry-level products.sensee offers low-priced, entry-level products, with pairs of optical or sunglasses starting at 10 euros for frames, while offering a single-price range of frames + single vision lenses at 59 euros.
Sensee is part of the new generation of eyewear start-ups advocating the end of expensive glasses. Sensee plays the transparency card, selling in a number of boutiques (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse) as well as directly on its website, in order to cut out the middleman and thus reduce prices through a short circuit. Sensee goes so far as to display its margins in the interests of customer transparency.
Sensee also innovated by installing eyewear corners in certain Fnac outlets at the end of 2017 to offer consumers a so-called "cross-channel" experience.
Sensee acquired the website lentilles-moins-chères in 2011
