Further fundraisings of €20 and €50 million follow in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

In July 2019, the company becomes the first European insurance company to be awarded the B Corp label, a for-profit company serving the public interest.

In 2021, the company claims 150,000 policyholders and has been operating in Spain since May 2021.

The company, in financial difficulty, is in safeguard proceedings and June 2013

  • The French start-up, which began its adventure with online home insurance, is gradually extending its activities into real estate
  • The amount of the transaction, a mix of share exchange and cash, was not disclosed.
  • Unkle has developed an insurance product to guarantee tenants' rents and another to protect landlords from unpaid rent.
  • Unkle had a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of €200,000, and a number of projects in the pipeline.
  • Unkle had raised 6 million euros.
  • Luko has been available in Spain and Germany (via the acquisition of Coya) since 2021.
