Linneo Health is the company that inherited the assets of Alcaliber, owned by business tycoon Juan Abelló. The company has long dominated the global morphine market and holds licenses to grow cannabis for medical purposes. Abelló retains a 40% stake in the new group, while the remaining 60% goes to the British fund GHO.
The company can produce up to 12,000 tons of cannabis a year, on a 40,000 square meter site. It then transforms the plant into extract and active ingredient. In Spain, it is the first producer to obtain GMP certification, which guarantees the quality of the product.
