Chupa Chups is a Spanish company founded by Enric Bernat in 1958, who became famous for inventing the first lollipop, by planting a candy ball on a stick to prevent it sticking to fingers.

Today, Chupa Chups offers dozens of lollipop flavors, but the most popular are milk-strawberry and strawberry. Perfetti Van Melle, an Italian-Dutch group, now owns the company.

With around 4 billion lollipops sold every year, Chupa Chups is now the world's number 1 in this market.
