Booking.com is a Dutch website, available in 43 languages, dedicated to online accommodation reservations. Booking.com was founded in 1996 as a start-up, and a decade later became part of Booking Holdings Inc.

Headquartered in Amsterdam, the site has been owned and operated by the U.S.-based Priceline Group since 2005. Booking.com offers accommodation in various types of property, from hotels to bed & breakfasts and even apartments.

Currently, the company has around 27,900 inns on its website and employs over 17,000 people in 198 offices in 70 countries around the world.

In Italy, it has around 500 youth hostels and is one of the market leaders in hotel tourism.
