Wizz Air bears the brunt of Pratt & Whitney's faulty engines 13/11/2023
- Nearly a quarter of Wizz Air's A320 and A321 fleet will be grounded due to a manufacturing defect on Pratt & Whitney engines.
- 45 Wizz Air aircraft will be affected by the shutdown until the end of March 2024.
- 18 new A321s will be delivered to the company by the end of March.
- For the first half of the 2023-2024 financial year, the company reported a 33% increase in traffic, to 33 million passengers, and a 39% rise in sales, to 3 billion euros.
- Net profit for the first half of the year was 400 million euros.
