Viking Cruises is a travel company founded in 1997 with the aim of offering more destination- and culture-focused travel.

Since the purchase of European company KD River Cruises in 2000, Viking has grown to become the leader in small-ship travel, offering river, ocean and expedition cruises on all seven continents.

The company offers destination-focused itineraries for curious travelers, with a shore excursion in every port and an enrichment program on board and ashore. Viking's eco-friendly ships have won over 250 awards, and the company recently launched new cruises on the Mississippi River.

Viking ships are renowned for their elegant Scandinavian design, intimate spaces and attention to detail.
