United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX) supplies high-tech systems and services to the construction and aerospace industries.

It is an industrial group present in five sectors of activity:

1. HVAC: the Group is the world's leading producer of heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems for industrial and domestic use. Its Carrier subsidiary accounts for 21.5% of sales.
2. Aerospace: United Technologie designs and manufactures civil and military aircraft engines, gas turbines, rocket engines and propulsion systems. Its Pratt & Whitney subsidiary accounts for 23.6% of total sales.
3. Elevators, escalators and moving walkways: the Group is world No. 1 in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of elevator systems, with its subsidiary Otis accounting for 22.1% of total sales.
4. Air navigation systems: manufacture of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems for aircraft (compressors, air traffic control, etc.) and civil and military helicopters. This business accounts for 22.4% of Group sales, through its subsidiary Hamilton Sundstrand and Sikorsky.
5. Security: the Group manages the integration and installation of security systems (intruder alarms, access control and video surveillance systems), as well as security systems for the automotive industry.osurveillance) and fire detection and protection systems through its subsidiary UTC Fire & Security, which accounts for 10.4% of sales.

United Technologies' sales are mainly generated in the United States (53.5%), but the Group is also present in Europe (23.2% of sales) and Asia-Pacific (13.5%).
