SSC Napoli

Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli, commonly known as SSC Napoli, is an Italian soccer club based in Naples. Founded in 1926, the club has a long history and has achieved important national and international successes. Recently there has been talk of expanding the capacity of the new Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, which will be Napoli's new home, to 70,000 seats.

The Napoli team has had several successful periods over the years. In the 1980s, under the leadership of coach Ottavio Bianchi and with players such as Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli won its greatest trophies. In 1987 and 1990, the club won the Italian championship, earning its first and second titles in history. In addition, in 1989, Napoli won the UEFA Cup (now known as the UEFA Europa League), which is the European club trophy.

Napoli has also had good performances in recent years. Under the leadership of coach Maurizio Sarri, the club finished second in Serie A in the 2017-2018 season. In addition, Napoli has participated in several editions of the UEFA Champions League, Europe's most prestigious club competition.

The president of Napoli is Aurelio De Laurentiis, who assumed this position in 2004. The club has a large base of passionate fans, known as "tifosi azzurri" or "partenopei," who support the team warmly during home and away matches.
