The Société civile des Mines de bitume et d'Asphalte du Centre (SMAC) was founded in 1884. Its activity extends to most of the activities of the building sector: waterproofing, cladding, roofing, maintenance.
SMAC works in particular on advanced facade projects with a high degree of technicality. For this purpose, the group implements innovative techniques to provide its customers with quality services.
SMAC has more than 70 establishments in France and in the French overseas departments and territories. It also has 18 industrial production sites, 3 research laboratories and three subsidiaries abroad.
Its organization and efficiency enable it to work on more than 10,000 projects per year. Green roofs are one of the solutions that the group implements. SMAC is a major player in the French construction industry.
A subsidiary of Colas, Smac will be sold in 2019 to the American fund Open Gates Capital
