Škoda is an automotive company founded in 1895 in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, by two friends, Laurin & Klement. Initially specializing in the production of bicycles, the company soon moved into the manufacture of motorcycles and cars, becoming one of the first major car manufacturers in history. Laurin & Klement was taken over in 1925 by the Škoda company, which has since enjoyed an unparalleled renaissance thanks to its integration into the Volkswagen Group in 1991. The brand is now known for its modern, high-quality sedan and SUV ranges, and launched its first 100% electric SUV, the Enyaq iV, in 2020.
