Savéol is the brand name of the Coopérative maraîchère de l'Ouest, a French agricultural cooperative. It groups 125 market gardeners from the Brest region, mainly from Plougastel-Daoulas.
In 1974, two hitherto competing cooperatives, Groupement maraîcher brestois and Presqu'île, began joint marketing initiatives, leading in 1980 to the creation of Société maraîchère de l'Ouest.ation of the Société maraîchère de l'Ouest, headquartered in Plougastel-Daoulas, and in 1981 created the "Savéol" brand ("lever de Soleil" in Breton). In 1993, the Val Nantais tomato growers joined the company (leaving in 2014). In 2004, the cooperatives merged to create the société coopérative agricole (SCA) SAVÉOL, which in 2015 became the coopérative maraîchère agricole (CMA) SCA SAVÉOL.
