Sarens France

Sarens is a family-owned Belgian multinational, founded by Frans Sarens in 1921 and officially renamed Sarens in 1955. Specialized in materials handling and lifting, the company helped organize the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Sarens provides its customers with technical solutions to the transport and lifting problems they face. The company also highlights its maintenance services. Sarens is active in a wide range of markets, from nuclear power to oil and gas, as well as public works. The company has an international presence.

As part of the work for the Grand Paris project, Sarens has been contracted for a number of assignments, including

• Line 15-T2B: Pre-assembly & erection of 2 tunnel boring machines
• Line 15-T3A - Pre-assembly & erection of TBM
• T12 Express Massy Europe: Transfer of a 1800-tonne structure by SPMT (self-propelled trailers)
• Rental of lattice boom cranes/Telescopic cranes for Molded Walls and services
• Transfer of 10 structures 1600 tons by SPMT (self-propelled trailers)
• CNPE in France
• Installation of Diesels for DUS projects
• Replacement of GV on 1300 MW bearing - (External Gantry & SPMT)
• Replacement of 2 pylons - Traversée Dordogne
• Provision of mobile cranes 2 x LTM1750
• TOTAL Normandy refinery
• Provision of mobile cranes & lifting services for GA2019 shutdown

october 27, 2017 - Sarens is contracted for the Greater Paris project - source(Sarens)

• Contract worth 926 million euros for Vinci Construction France
• 8 kilometers of underground network to be built, with 5 stations
• Use of the 68-meter-high LR1200SX crane, with 81-ton counterweight
• Crane sent from Canada, piloted by two operators.
