The Einville salt works was bought by the Salins group in early 2017. Salt production at the Einville Salt Works is made up of two different techniques, one is artisanal and preserves the multiple qualities of salt, the other is more automated to obtain extremely pure salt.

Two ranges of Sel d'Einville can be distinguished according to the process used: salt in the old-fashioned way (without washing, treatment or additives), and salt using modern techniques. The salt works began to be exploited in 1871 for its food salt before being gradually used for industry, water treatment and snow removal.
