The SAB is a cattle slaughterhouse and was built in 2011 to meet the growing slaughtering needs of two local companies, SAS STIMEX (a meat export company owned by CAVEB) and SVEP (a specialist Parthenaise breed peg owned by the CAVEB cooperative). SVEP (specialized Parthenaise breed peg belonging to the CAVEB cooperative) The latter have joined forces with the CAVEB cooperative to create a cattle slaughterhouse.the slaughterhouse is certified for the slaughter of AB organic farming animals, the slaughter of LABEL ROUGE cattle of the Parthenaise and Blonde d'Aquitaine breeds.Aquitaine breeds, and also has prefectoral authorization for Halal ritual slaughter.
The company slaughters between 18 and 20,000 cattle a year.
In 2021, the company has launched a vast investment program, estimated at €791,508, to modernize the site. SAB will receive €261,524 in government aid to finance this modernization project, as part of the France Relance scheme.
