Founded in the Netherlands in 1960, Randstad is a major player in human resources consulting worldwide. The group's services cover temporary and permanent placement, human resources consulting and career management support, and is present in 39 countries through nearly 4,500 branches.
In 2007, Randstad and Vedior merged to form the Randstad Group and establish it as the second largest in the world after the leader Adecco. This merger allowed Randstad to position itself in strategic markets where the company was not present, such as India and Brazil, and to strengthen its activities.India and Brazil and strengthen its executive search business, which is more profitable than the temporary placement business that is the organization's core business.
