Cybersecurity: French company Pr0ph3cy boosts by initial investment of €100 million 03/07/2023
- The Pr0ph3cy group is in negotiations for an investment of less than 100 million euros with the American investment company Carlyle.
- Carlyle intends to double this investment over the next few years to facilitate acquisitions in the cybersecurity sector.
- European fund IK Partners had previously invested 15 million euros in Pr0ph3cy.
- Pr0ph3cy was founded in 2021, from the family business Silicom, established in 1983.
- In 2019, Pr0ph3cy launched Seela, an online training center now used by around 8,000 people.
- The company has acquired two companies: OpenCyber, specializing in technical assistance, and Harmonie Technologie, a cybersecurity consulting firm with sales of €14 million in 2021.
- Pr0ph3cy's projected sales for 2023 are 70 million euros, almost four times higher than four years ago.
- The company still generates 90% of its sales in France, despite the presence of nine offices across Europe and North America.
- Pr0ph3cy plans to hire over 300 people in France over the next 18 months.
