Opel is a major European automotive manufacturer, founded in 1862 by Adam Opel in Germany. Since 2017, Opel has been part of the Stellantis Group. Together with its British sister brand Vauxhall, the company is present in over 60 countries and sold around 1 million vehicles in 2019. Opel is currently implementing an ambitious electrification strategy to offer an electric version of all its European models by 2024 as part of the PACE corporate plan. The aim of this strategy is to become sustainably profitable, international and electric.
