Myler Bits is run collaboratively by three brothers, but was originally started by only one of them. Ron Myler, who worked for many years with the general public as a professional cutting instructor, came up with the original designs of the bits and started the business.

Ron, Dale and Bob Myler are third-generation horsemen who developed their own product to improve the control of relief and tongue pressure through training their horses. Their unique mouthpiece design and innovative cheeks give the rider excellent communication with the horse and allow the horse to relax in the reins.

  • Myler Bits offers several types of mouthpieces, the most popular/sold are :
  • MB04: Snaffle Comfort Low Port for young horses, offering tongue relief and wrapping action.
  • MB06: Low Port Mullen Barrel for young horses, non-collapsing with increased sensitivity on lips and bars.
  • MB36: Forward sloping port Mullen Barrel for educated horses needing tongue relief even with light contact.
  • MB33: Forward-bearing barrel for well-behaved horses needing complete tongue relief.:
  • MB02: Comfort Snaffle (wide barrel) for a young horse that is learning to bend and balance.
  • MB32: Mullen Barrel with forward bend, suitable for horses who prefer solid action bites.
  • MB10: French Link with large link rings, suitable for young horses at the beginning of training.
  • MB03: Comfort Snaffle with copper roller, similar to MB02 but with copper roller.
