Moulinot signs two historic contracts 15/09/2023
- Moulinot Compost et Biogaz is a company specializing in the collection and recovery of organic waste, based in Stains, Seine-Saint-Denis.
- The company has just signed its two biggest contracts:
- the first with the City of Paris, to collect food waste from 1,200 schools, crèches, Ehpad and 400 voluntary drop-off points
- the second with the Est Ensemble intercommunality, to collect organic waste directly from private households.
- The recovered waste is sorted and shredded to produce an "organic soup", which is sold to methanizing farmers.
- The company reached profitability in June, with sales expected to reach 6 million euros by 2022, and 7 or 8 million euros this year.
- The Stains plant is processing at half its maximum capacity, i.e. 40,000 tonnes of bio-waste per year.
- The company plans to open another plant in Réau, Seine-et-Marne, with an equivalent capacity, and to finalize the development of sites in Angers and Bordeaux.
- These investments have been financed by three rounds of financing, including one for 18 million euros in 2022.
