Mitsubishi Power is a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Mitsubishi Heavy Industry (MHI)

MHPS was founded in 1884. Initially specializing in the manufacture of boats, it moved into the production of cars and aircraft at the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1920s, MHPS became one of Japan's four Zaibatsu companies. From the 1970s, the conglomerate refocused on marine production and diversified into power generation and urban transport.

The conglomerate has 66 subsidiaries worldwide and operates directly in 17 countries. In Western Europe, MHPS is present in England, Spain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

MHPS offers products in renewable energies, gas and steam turbines, and related services. Turbines are grouped into 6 ranges. Its value proposition is the market leader in medium to low-power turbines. MHPS focuses its communication on the proven efficiency of its turbines (>50%). The Group acquires PW Power Systems in April 2018, specialized in aeroderivative and industrial turbines.

The turbine segment is headed by Junichiro Masada, SVP.
