Lay's is a brand of aperitif cookies, in particular potato potato chips, founded by the American Herman W. Lay in 1932 in the United States.

Since 2003, the brand has also been present in France, where it replaced the Crocky brand.

Lay's has developed a large number of different varieties of potato chips, and has reduced the salt content of its entire product range by 24%.

Since 2007, Lay's has no longer used palm oil to bake its potato chips, instead using a blend of sunflower, rapeseed and corn vegetable oils to produce its products. In 2020, the brand expanded its product range with the 3D's, Mixups and Fritelle brands, while continuing its commitment to more responsible production by offering a bag of vegetable origin in 2022.
