JM Weston, despite the consonance of its name, is a French shoe company founded in Limoges in 1891. The name was changed to Weston in 1904 when the designer's son learned the Weston sewing technique in the United States. It was JM Weston who supplied the boots of the French Republican Guard. Today, the brand is best known for its moccasins and is owned by the European Participation Company (EPI).
