Jardins du Roussillon has been in the fruit and vegetable business for almost 100 years.
The family-run Ille Roussillon group was founded in 1924 by Jacques BES, and has since been developed by Jean-Pierre and Hélène ILLE, who have built up substantial fruit and vegetable storage and sorting capacities.
The family group produces 97% of its fruit and vegetables in Roussillon, i.e. 5,000 tons on 320 hectares of land and 30 hectares of its own greenhouses.
It processes over 20,000 tonnes of produce at its stations based near Perpignan, and markets almost 30,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, both organic and conventional, generating annual sales of 59 million euros.
