Garnier has been a family business for three generations, dating back to 1932, when its founder, Constant Garnier, worked as a wheelwright for farmers. Under the impetus of his son, Claude Garnier, the company turned to heavy-duty bodywork for the construction and public works sector in 1965.
Since 1998, Denis Garnier, the founder's grandson, has presided over the company, which has grown steadily, first in the West of France, then throughout France, thanks to its network of partner bodybuilders.
Garnier is committed to designing and producing high-performance equipment that complies with all applicable regulations. This commitment is based on the preservation of know-how and the continuous improvement of processes.
Garnier's head office, located in Mayenne since 1968, houses support functions such as administrative and financial services, sales, engineering, purchasing and QHSE. The 69,000 m² Mayenne site, with 14,000 m² of industrial buildings, houses production, assembly and after-sales service workshops.
The Group's other companies, Normandie Bennes Garnier in Mondeville, Garnier Haute-Normandie in St-Etienne-du-Rouvray and Garnier Atlantique in Ste-Luce-sur-Loire, sell equipment, assemble bodies, provide after-sales service and sell spare parts. The Garnier Bretagne site, located in Saint-Gilles near Rennes, specializes in after-sales service.
Since 2014, the HMF France subsidiary has been distributing HMF brand lifting and handling cranes throughout France, including overseas territories, in collaboration with a network of partner bodybuilders.
Garnier is also the exclusive distributor of AJK hydraulic jibs in France.
