Peters Ice Cream is an Australian ice cream brand, now a subsidiary of the European food company R&R Ice Cream. it was originally developed by an American expatriate, Frederick (Fred) Augustus Bolles Peters in 1907, using his mother's recipe. The company was founded in 1907 in Paddington, New South Wales, as Peters' American Delicacy Company. A new plant to produce "A Nation's Health Food" was opened in nearby Redfern in 1923.
