Eurosport is a pan-European sports television network owned and operated by Discovery, Inc. Discovery took a 20% minority stake in December 2012 and became the majority shareholder in Eurosport with TF1 in January 2014, taking a 51% stake in the company On July 22, 2015, Discovery agreed to acquire TF1's remaining 49% stake in the company.

Eurosport owns a wide range of rights in many sports, but does not generally bid for higher-priced rights such as major league soccer. However, in 2015, the company won the rights to broadcast the 2018 Olympic Games for most of Europe, and the 2022 Games for the UK and France, for 1.3 billion euros (£922 million).
