Ermewa Group, renamed Streem, aims to double its sales 13/04/2023
- Ermewa was sold by SNCF in 2021.
- It was bought by the Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec (CDPQ) and DWS, Deutsche Bank's asset management company.
- The company, now called Streem, employs over 1,300 people and has more than 40 sites.
- It owns more than 45,000 wagons across Europe, making it the second-largest leasing company on the continent.
- Its subsidiaries Eurotainer and Raffles Lease together hold over 80,000 ISO tank containers worldwide.
- Streem aims to double its sales by 2030.
- The European Commission's objective is to double the share of rail freight in Europe from 18% to 30% within the next decade.
- A year after its sale, Ermewa/Streem has increased its investments to 500 million euros a year by 2022, compared with 150 to 200 million euros a year previously.
