Engie Green: Post-Fessenheim: new photovoltaic power plants in Haut-Rhin | New photovoltaic power plants in Haut-Rhin 22/10/2023

  • 32.000 solar panels installed on a former air base in Munchhouse (Haut-Rhin).
  • The solar park has been in operation since December 2022.
  • The plant has an installed capacity of 15 megawatts.
  • Total investment in the project amounts to 11 million euros.
  • Engie Green provided 60% of the funding, the Collectivité européenne d'Alsace (CEA) 20%
  • The Munchhouse solar park is one of the winning projects in the ministerial call for tenders for the energy transition in the Fessenheim area.
  • Engie Green is also working on another solar power plant, called Ligelios, in Wintzenheim, where work will start in November for commissioning in late 2024.
  • Engie Green also operates a photovoltaic power plant in Lauterbourg (Bas-Rhin) and several projects aimed at developing around 100 megawatts on a regional scale.
