Turnover: 63.5 million EUR (2017)
Country: France
Founded by Michel Dufour in La Rochelle in 1964, Dufour was acquired by Marcel Bich, founder of Bic, in 1976, and underwent strong external growth in the 1990s, with the purchase of Gib-Sea, ACM and Kelt (White Shark).
In the early 2000s, the company, in difficulty, was taken over by the Italian shipyard Cantiere del Prado (43%), then by the Rhône Capital investment fund (majority) in 2006.
Dufour Yachts and Fountaine Pajot initiated a merger in 2018, with the aim of forming a yachting giant exceeding 140M euros in sales.
