It serves the finance, tax, human resources, accounting, retail, manufacturing, services, trade and public sectors, as well as entrepreneurs and small businesses. Cegid is the leading provider of software solutions to accounting firms in France. The company acquired its main French competitor CCMX (800 employees) in 2004. In November 2017, Cegid bought Cylande (a software publisher based in Roubaix).
Cegid markets its products in 75 countries with subsidiaries in the United States (Boston, New York, San Diego), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid), Italy, the United Kingdom, Morocco, Tunisia, Côte d'Ivoire, China (Shenzen, Shanghai, Hong Kong) and Japan.
The new CEO, Pascal Houillon, since 2017, was previously CEO of Sage France. In July 2018, Cegid announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Xerox to provide new intelligent solutions for chartered accountants and support the profession in its digitization. (Cegid press release)
