Carthera raises 37.5 million euros for its intracranial implant 01/09/2023
- Carthera recently raised 37.5 million euros for the Phase III clinical trial of its implantable ultrasound medical device, SonoCloud.
- Investors Panakès Partners, Relyens Innovation Santé and Supernova Invest also participated in the fund-raising.
- Carthera's historical shareholders and founder hold 75% of the company's capital, with the new entrants holding 25%.
- Over 100 patients in Europe and the United States have already been treated with the SonoCloud system.
- A Phase III study is planned to include almost 600 patients in around 40 European and American hospitals.
- Carthera employs around 15 people. The market launch of SonoCloud is scheduled for 2026.
