Rolex soffers Bucherer, its historic business partner | Rolex and Bucherer join forces 25/08/2023
- Rolex, the luxury watch manufacturer, will acquire the Bucherer network, a group with around a hundred high-end boutiques.
- Rolex had estimated sales of around 10 billion euros for 2022, with nearly 1 million watches sold.
- Bucherer was founded in 1888 and currently has around 2,000 employees.
- Rolex plans to capitalize on the growing market for "second-hand" watches.
- This strategic shift was initiated with the creation of a pre-owned watch certification program nine months ago.
- Bucherer's properties include the "world's largest watch store" in Paris, near the Garnier Opera House.
