Benedicta specializes in mustard, condiments and sauces.

Today, Benedicta has a strong position in the French consumer market.

Benedicta was founded by a vinegar-maker from Seclin who wanted to sell his oil in bottles. The founder created Établissements Eeckman, which merged with the Dutch Duyvis group to create Mayolande in 1957. The Benedicta brand was born. In 1988, Benedicta was acquired by the American food conglomerate Sara Lee. In 1991, it was bought by Unilever and forced by the European Commission to be sold in an LBO (leveraged buyout) to Barclays Private Equity in 2000, followed by a second LBO with Axa Private Equity in 2008. Finally, Benedicta was bought out and became a subsidiary of Kraft Heinz.

The group's main sauce and mayonnaise plant remained in Seclin
