Acome is France's biggest SCOP (Société Coopérative et Participative) in terms of sales. Its main plant, based in Mortain in the Manche département, specializes in the manufacture of electrical cables and optical fibers. Its 2017 results show a net profit of 9 million euros.

In 2018, Acome is committed to investing 45 million euros between now and 2020 at its Mortain industrial site, including 27.7 million euros in a program dubbed "automotive and connected mobility". These investments will enable a significant increase in fiber optic cable production capacity.
